i finished jitterbug perfume a few nights ago. and though i wasnt blown away like i was with cowgirls, there is no minimalizing robbins. the novel is an epic, that in some ways stretches 1000 years and in another vascillates between seattle, paris, and new orleans in the span of a few months. i enjoyed it, as always, but robbins does seem to lose focus at points, delving into not-so-tangent anecdotes that carry on and on.
the book is about longevity: which according to Wiggs Dannyboy, Alobar, and Kudra means immortality.
the rest of the characters are interested in the perfect perfume.
its very clear how these are connected, right? :)

oh right, and taking baths, the goatgod Pan, and doing the Jitterbug dance.

ahhhhh well, another book down. and now I will be returning to Another Roadside Attraction, though i really just want to pluck a book off of the new york times best seller list and call it a day. is it weird that i legit fantasize about the day when i can read whatever i want?

in other news:
Up is the best movie ever.
taco mamasito is yummy. and sooo cool looking.
cezanne according to ginsberg is fascinating.
vienna is going to get the ring. ive reclined to the fate.
my dress for my mom's wedding came and is very pretty.
having to order a million bathing suits online because no stores carry them, thus, you have no idea which ones are going to fit, is annoying.
and getting home from class in time for Ellen is the best.
