globe.

i stumbled across this website when i was browsing around twitter earlier and it just so happens to combine two of my greatest passions: Fledgling Wine is an initiative which benefits Room to Read, a non-profit organization extending literacy and educational opportunities to children worldwide. Every case sold (which are on the cheaper end of the wine scale) will provide approx. 60 local language children's books and promote education in the world's poorest communities.

I will be ordering a case as soon as my allowance for this month arrives in the mail. which i dearly hope will be tomorrow.
also, i have no idea why that bird is there. but i cant delete it to save my life. so we will call him jack flitter.

another thing i wanted to share--im oddly dizzy at the moment--- i have been watching Man Shops Globe and i really love it. its brief and fun and I find it interesting. and if you dont know what it is, you're in luck, cause i dont want to work on this paper and would prefer to explain: Keith Johnson is a buyer for Anthropologie. If you've been in some of their stores (Chicago, San Francisco, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Nashville, New York (Soho and Rockefeller Center) are the ones that i have visited), you know that the furniture in the store is unique and for sale. and as you find our when you watch the show, Keith is the one who largely procures these pieces. he either buys them in bulk to place in as many stores as possible, buys just the one, or buys them in order to reproduce them back at home for the general consumer. Man Shops Globe is simply The Sundance Channel's episodic documentary of how and where he finds these pieces. Each episode represents his visit to one country; France, Argentina, India, Turkey, etc. and i find it completely entertaining and inspiring.
